What is Bible in a Year?

Bible in a Year is a simple, guided plan to read through the entire Bible over the course of 2026. You’ll follow a blended weekly reading schedule and join our live virtual session each Thursday to discuss the passages and grow together.

When does the program start and how long does it last?

The program begins Thursday, January 15, 2026, and continues for a full year with weekly gatherings and built-in holiday breaks. The last session is on December 17, 2026.

Who is leading this study?

This Bible in a Year journey is led by Emile and Kelley Cambry, a husband and wife team, and new parents to an adorable baby boy, who are simply committed to growing in God’s Word. We’re not pastors, teachers, or experts. We consider ourselves ultra-beginners who want to be held accountable to read the Bible end to end each year.

Our heart is to create a warm, fellowship-centered community, much like the early church in Acts, where believers came together to learn, encourage one another, and grow in faith. If you’re new to the Bible or simply longing for consistency and community, you’re in the right place. We’re learning right alongside you.

How do the weekly meetings work?

We meet every Thursday evening at 7 PM CST on Zoom for a simple, one-hour live Bible study. Each week we read our assigned passages on our own, then gather to talk through what stood out, ask questions, share insights, and encourage one another.The flow is relaxed and welcoming.

We open with prayer, take a few minutes to recap the week’s readings, and then spend most of our time discussing what we learned and how God is speaking to us through His Word. There’s no pressure to have “answers.” We’re all learning together, week by week, and growing in community as we walk through the Bible.

Do I need any experience or Bible background to join?

Not at all. This program is designed to be welcoming for beginners and supportive for anyone looking to build a consistent habit of reading Scripture. All you need is a Bible and a heart ready to grow.

What do I need to participate?

You’ll need a Bible in any translation you prefer and a device with Zoom installed. After signing up, you’ll receive the weekly reading plan, Zoom link, and optional resources to help you follow along.
